Issues with RStudio: "The console doesn't seem to work anymore. What happened?"
Answer: Most likely you typed an incomplete expression such as '2-'. This will indeed be the problem if you see the prompt '+' instead of '>' in the left margin of the R Console window; the console is waiting for you to complete the expression.
A solution is to click on the Console window and type an ESC character. This will abort the incomplete expression and give you the regular command prompt '>' back.
