Use emacs to reformat the following long line of gibberish. (It represents my so-called file search path.) First, replace ":" with several blanks each, " ". This helps readability, but is not pretty yet. One would really like to replace ":" with "", which is "c-j" (see the ascii chart in "~buja/STAT-540/ascii-ctl-characters.txt"). You need to know that special characters that are interpreted in some contexts can be entered without interpretation by preceding it with "c-q". Hence: a-%:c-j ---------------------------------------------------------------- :.:/cygdrive/c/mpack/:/cygdrive/e/emacs/emacs-21.2/bin/:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/cygdrive/c/texmf/miktex/bin:/cygdrive/c/WINNT/system32:/cygdrive/c/WINNT:/cygdrive/c/WINNT/System32/Wbem:/cygdrive/c/Program Files/Hummingbird/Connectivity/7.10/Accessories/:/cygdrive/c/Program Files/R/rw1040/bin/:/cygdrive/e/buja/bin/:/cygdrive/e/emacs/emacs-21.2/bin/:.:/usr/X11R6/bin:
